:ermm: one of my co workers got this usb shortcut virus on her flash drive. I've tried everything on the internet regarding the cmd prompt attribute. see the screenshot the result i've got is there any software i can use that will recover the files without losing the data? please help.

As you can see the autorun file converted all the .ink files into shortcuts. I try deleting the auto run but to no avail. I'm not going to use any anti virus as yet

If it's a virus, it's properly written to work on windows.
Download DSL. (Damn small linux), burn it to a disk or make a USB bootable and run it without installing it. (when the disk boots it will ask you if you want to install it our run it without installation)
When you are in DSL you can open up USB and do whatever with it. copy all the important data to another device, remove the ".ink" in their name and then format the USB.
