I have a spare comp with bad pci slots. If I use a usb network adapter , can I hook this rig to a dsl line and lt work as good as a pci network card ?. I have a friend that wants to buy it , but he has dsl .

Re:

Hello,

A USB network adapter won't degrade the performance if it's connected to a DSL. The old USB standard supports speeds up to 12Mbps, so unless you have an Internet connection which is faster than 12Mbps :)rolleyes: :amazed:  ?? ) then you should be more than fine...!

The newer USB standard 2.0 supports speeds of up to 480Mbps...so there's definitely no need to worry about using USB, or whether your bus or network adapter uses version 1.0, 1.1 or the new 2.0 .

yah before I upgraded to usb 2.0 on my comp my network adapter worked just as good as it does on 2.0.windows kept on 2.0 card.*****ing so i went out and bought a usb 2.0 card.
