USB Batteries? WTF?

I can't see any reason to have these. They are smaller and probably last half as long, they are expensive, and probably take forever to charge. I'd rather go buy a brick of 48 Kirkland Signature AA's from Costco for $5 and throw them out when they are dead.
 
They seem pretty stupid. Regular rechargable batteries are the way to go, 4 AAs cost $8 and last for a 1000 cycles...
Disposable batteries are awful for the environment anyways.
 
when i seen the title i though yu were talking about a 9v usb altoids tin charger.

thats to much for even rechargeable batteries, you can get a 4 pack of energizer aa's and a charger for like $15 at walmart(Ya gotta love walmart).
 
I think conceptual it's a good idea, but in reality there are so many better options.

Like the duracell 30 minute rechargables that I have... They are AA and last a really long time for most heavy portable electronics and they fully recharge in about 30 minutes.
