Yes, I was wondering if anybody could help me. I am somewhat familiar with blocking websites in the host file but I do not want to block the whole website just a profile from being veiwed within the website. The site is http://www.vampirefreaks.com and this is the url of the profile i want to block http://vampirefreaks.com/u/jackofalltrades...

Is there any way that I can specifically block just that profile from being veiwed so that my daughter can still use vampirefreaks.com without knowing that I blocked that profile from being veiwed?

What the Fu...

All 9 of your posts are on the same thing. STFU AND QUIT SPAMMING THE FORUM. Sit and wait. Jesus christ. If you REALLY want an answer quick call your ROUTER company and ask them for help w/ configuration.

Also I don't think you can block certain content on a website. I think once you block the domain name, traffic is no longer routed there.

reported as spam as an old post... and it is old, so it's be better to not drag this kind of stuff up... a general rule of thumb is that if it's a few pages deep, leave it there.

anyway... to answer the original question.

no, you can't block a single URL in the hosts file.
but this site will give more help on how to block single URLs whilst allowing other urls on the same server to be seen.
