Hi,

I have a laptop which has a Celeron (R) Dual core CPU @ 1.80GHz.

The current RAM is 3.00GB and am looking to upgrade.

So my question is how would I know which memory would be compatible? What am I looking for?

thanks for any help.

Indeed, you can change either one board for 1gb or buy two new ones and replace them, I think it will be easier and in which case you will still have spare parts.

If your laptop rental has 8GB of RAM, it probably uses two 4GB strips of RAM in separate slots. Because of the way memory fits into your laptop or computer, it's actually quite easy to remove and expand. One of the most common ways to upgrade your RAM is to replace your 4GB strips with 8GB strips, giving you a total 16GB.
