Hi guys.

I bought a Compaq Presario S4220NX quite awhile ago ( 2 years Ago ) and I want to upgrade my processor, motherboard, memory and video card. Will there be any problems when I replace them. If so, what should do?

Heres the components I want to get:

motherboard: ASUS A8N-E MOTHERBOARD ATX S939 NFORCE4

Processor: AMd Athlon 64 3500+ Venice

memory: Corsair Value Select PC3200 1GB 2X512MB

Video CArd: BFG GeForce 7800 GT 256MB 256BIT GDDR3 PCI-E

Well u are going to need a new PSU. And then like the only thing remaining from the compaq will be the case, hdd and cd-rom drive.
I'd still suggest buying a new case too.

So just buy the new parts, take hdd and cd-rom drive out of the compaq and put it all together. Just make sure that the mobo and the CPU have the same socket and that the mobo supports the ram u get.

Well u will have to reinstall windows. Other than that if u build it up correctly then there shouldn't be any other problems.

Well I got windows Xp home with the computer and some software So how can I reinstall it?

Well if u want to get the new parts working u will need a Win Xp cd. So buy it or get it some other way.
