Upgrading CPU for an 2070 Super

It would be fine for the games he wants to play but there's no point in spending the same kind of money for something slower. I would say the 5600x is the best option but it's simply way too expensive. The 10600k, 11600k, or even the 11400 i5s would all be a better option for similar money to the 3600x. The 10600k is even on sale for $214 right now, and can be paired with one of these.

Doesn't need to be on that list to run. Another thing about AMD is there is performance left on the table unless the RAM speed is at 3600MHz.
