I have a Dell Optiplex 755, and I was wondering what are the possible upgrades I could do. Mainly of the video card and possibly the CPU.

Here are the complete specs list. (Copied From Speccy)

OS- Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1
CPU- Intel Core 2 Duo E8200 @ 2.66GHz
RAM- 4.00GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 399MHz
GPU- Intel Q35 Express Chipset Family (Intel GMA 3100)
HHD- 149GB Western Digital WDC WD1601ABYS-18C0A0 ATA Device
OD- TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L633A ATA Device

Now the PC is in a low profile case, so it only has a low profile pci express x16 slot, as well with a 290 watt power supply. So its limited on video card support.

Yeah I just wanted to know what should I upgrade, any feedback will be much appreciated. :)

Generally a brand name computer isn't really upgradable. You'll need to know the motherboard and what CPU's it supports.

Also, you can probably put a dual video card in there if you want multiple monitors or want to play low end games, but you won't be able to run a high end card off that power supply.

Personally, I think you are better served saving your money and building/buying a new computer.

Actually I already have a build list that I made that cost around $2400 I can show you if you want. I really want to build a computer that will last for at least the next 4 years. :)

Ok here it is.

CPU- Intel Core i7-4770K $340
MOBO- ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO $200
RAM- CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB 1600 $170
SSD- SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series 256GB $220
HDD- WD BLACK SERIES 3TB $195
GPU- EVGA GEFORCE GTX 780TI 3GB $730
CASE- Corsair Obsidian 750D $150
PSU- CORSAIR AX860 $190
CPU FAN- CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i $110

TOTAL- $2305

solid build! If I were you I would wait until the 800 series are released. The 880 will probably outperform the 780ti and will probably be cheaper. Also unless you are doing video editing there is no need for a 4770k. A 4670k would be just fine and save you 100 bucks. That's just me though.

Yeah since I have to save up a lot of money by the time I actually buy the parts Broadwell and the 800 series will be out. About the CPU I mainly just want it to be future proof and I may make videos at a later time.
