Upgrade to OS 10

Hi,
I have OS10, is that the same as X (X is 10 in roman numerials)...I am running an i-mac with OS9.2, how do I upgrade? I dont know a lot about macs so plx any help would be greatly appreciated!

umm, I think you just put the OS X disk in and follow the instructions.

If you have more specific questions, go ahead and post em.

so I dont need to format, just whip the disk in and follow the steps

Yea, it should walk you through reformatting the drive, etc.

well actually.... insert the disc while you are booted in OS 9.2

Double click on the icon...

Open the OSX installer, then it will ask you to restart and will begin the installation, no formatting needed since OS 9.2 will remain on your computer running alongside OSX

Enjoy! its really a good OS, but im still hooked to XP Pro
