I just came back from a trip across Europe. I shot over 12 hours of 4K gopro footage and I have no ability to play them on my current set up (which I built back in 2012)
What would I need to play and edit in 4k? My computer has also been stalling a lot during the palying of many youtube videos and I think I will need a good video and sound card to solve that problem. I think that certain sounds are just too much for my hardware.
I'm also looking to play some video games again, like Friday the 13th. But I may want to play higher end games down the road.
Here's my current set up.
CORSAIR CX Series CX500 500W 80 PLUS BRONZE Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply
1 x Rosewill Gaming Computer Case - ATX Mid Tower - Top HDD Dock, Side Window Panel, 5 Preinstalled Fans
ASRock FM2A75M-DGS FM2 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
LITE-ON Black Internal 12X Blu-ray Combo SATA Model ihes112-04 - OEM
AMD A10-5700 Trinity Quad-Core 3.4GHz (4.0GHz Turbo) Socket FM2 65W AD5700OKHJBOX Desktop APU (CPU + GPU)
I made this rig in 2012. It's definitely time for an upgrade.
I can spend around $500, but maybe more if necessary. Can anyone help? I'm willing to switch out any of these parts.
