Hiya guys,
I've a small issue with a laptop, that I found in the back of a cupboard. I pulled it out a few months back and it was working fine. Finally got around to looking at it today and was planning on setting it up with Windows Server 2008 so I could do some research.. when I went to turn it on and I got nothing. I'd love some help identifying the issue.
The laptop is ACER Aspire 3960 (specs in link)

Now I've noticed that if I plug the power in, it will show the power light (orange), but as soon as I hit the power button, that vanishes and nothing happens.
If I take the battery out, and directly connect to the AC I get no lights, nothing, hit the power button still nothing.
If I leave the power in, and try to give the battery a good charge lets say 2 hours, then disconnect the power and run from the battery. I still get nothing. Same with adding power to this scenario, still nothing.
Does anyone have any ideas on where I go from here?
