Possibly a connection.. I dunno. Maybe they get this page hijacker onto you computer so that you end up buying their spyware program which removes it?

win antispyware ---- win.tmp. possibly?

hmm....that seems to be associated with a different problem lol

like this:
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/index.php?showtopic=71896

although i didnt notice you had any such software installed....

try these steps:
Clear the system restore points (if you donÂ’t want to do this move onto the next step but be aware viruses can infect system restores and can come back or still cause problems):
• Click Start >> Run - type SYSDM.CPL & press Enter
• Select the System Restore Tab
• Tick on the checkbox - "Turn off System Restore on all drives"
• Click Apply
• Then untick the same checkbox & click OK
• This deletes ALL restore points that had the infection and creates a clean one

Download this program to clean your temp files and registry:

Proceed to try these spyware cleaners and rootkit finders again in safe mode and full system scans.

What about the UL windows and all the win** files that keep flooding my temp folder?

I ran that spyware doctor one in safe mode, and it says it located over 70 infections, mostly trojans.

If you want to fix it, you have to buy the software...That kind of makes me wonder if the infections are all real.

I also ran the advanced spyware remover, and it didnt detect any. Im not sure what is going on.

My regular anti virus software doesnt detect anything, so I thinking the spyware doctor says the infections exist just to get you to purchase it.

Should I try and manually delete as many of them as I can in dos?

Also, those UL windows popped up, even in safe mode, even after running the ccleaner. Is that bad that they come up, even in safe mode?

spyware doctor isnt bad Iv used it. Although it does detect things which arnt considering that harmful. Did you try ad aware se with the VX add on? and spybot?

also run CWshredder.

run a hijackthis and post another log.
