I've been getting mixed signals on whether the uATX and m-ATX are the same or not. I have an HP that broke down and decided it was the motherboard. I looked up what form factor the motherboard was and it's the uATX. I figured this was a special fitting due to being bought from HP.

Well the more I tried to find an uATX motherboard to switch into my HP I kept coming across what said to be a uATX motherboard but looked at specs and said it was micro ATX.

To put it frankly, it was either a typo or just trying to confuse the hell out of me. So is the uATX form factor the same as M-ATX? Or better yet, would a M-ATX fit in the spot where my uATX motherboard would of been? Trying to find a good uATX motherboard for Socket A seems to be harder than I thought.

uATX is just an abbreviation for micro ATX. The uATX should technically be µATX because µ means micro. (For example, mm is to millimeter as µm is to micrometer)
