Trying to install windows 7

I am working on installing windows 7 on my home computer today and i loaded it up and the files loaded and i get to the screen where it has me select which HDD to install it on and it says this: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu"

Alright. So did you do what it said and go into the BIOS to make sure that you can boot to the hard drive?
