A new Trojan horse is attempting to lure in rugby fans with the promise of a lion singing happy birthday. This summer sees the British and Irish Lions rugby union team tour New Zealand and, according to security experts, a happy lion is currently attempting to infiltrate our Inboxes. Experts at anti-virus company Sophos have warned surfers that the Troj/LdPinch-BD Trojan horse tries to steal confidential passwords and other data from infected computers. It is accompanied by an animated picture of a lion that wishes recipients a happy birthday. Information stolen, which can include computer details, hostname and IP addressand passwords and confidential information, is sent to a remote website where the Trojan horse unsuccessfully attempts to download further malicious code.
