Trend Micro has a lot of products that do a lot of different things. I've used some of them and well.. you really have to plan carefully. Some of their products get used to do things they can't really do even though their sales people say they can. My point is when using enterprise security products like trend micro: you have to know exactly what you are doing. Anyone have good or bad experiences with Trend Micro?

I'm looking at Zone Alarm for the first time right now and it is an interesting product and good for the home user and small business market maybe. I'm impressed that it is free for home and non profit users. It's worth a serious look at http://www.download.com/3000-2092-10039884.html

I'll test it and see how it performs. Thanks for the tip.

Trend Micro; however, is scalable to very large enterprises and have a lot of different appliances and software products that work together. The business market is their forte. So if you're responsible for say 100 to 1,000 seats a company like Trend Micro is one way to go about securing your enterprise.

True that but it's not all they use and that's the point of a Trend Micro type company. Take at look at their products. You'll see a wealth of them geared to solve many different requirements and are intended to work with and enhance enterprise virus software solutions. Take their http://www.trendmicro.com/en/products/gateway/isvw/evaluate/overview.htm Viruswall for example.

This is their overall goal right here: http://www.trendmicro.com/en/products/eps/eps/evaluate/overview.htm

As I understand it, there implementation of meeting this goal goes way beyond a managed enterprise anti-virus software solution. It goes deep.
