Transferring files

I have builty my own computer and I now need to transfer some files from my old computer. What are my options? My old computer has no CD-RW drive and my new computer has a floppy disk drive that doesn't detect disks.

Just take out your old hardrives and connect them to your new computer, then just transfer the files over in windows, cut and paste.

a network? if your old computer has a network card, that would be the easiest option.

That's what I was gonna say, network.

Yes a network is the best idea, but you will need a crossover cable, not a standard network cable, if you have no hub or router.

You could also use a pen drive. They're just small thumb size drives that you plug into the USB port.

Also called thumb drives, flash drives, and many other names to be honest.
