The one we have is a 72, im just using that pic as an example but the one here is
olive green (faded like crazy) auto trans and its the malibu version not the ss.

Its actually in very good condition, the engine runs decently for never being rebuilt and having i dont even know how many miles on it. Only thing wrong is the electrical wiring is shot.

Sounds like a good project. From what I have seen doing serious bodywork may be the most difficult part of restoring a vehicle so having one in good shape is a big advantage.

I would love to get a classic Challenger, Cuda, or Roadrunner to restore but even if you can find a good one that doesn't cost a fortune parts are expensive and hard to find.

If you don't mind a manual this IS300 looks nice and you can't beat Toyota/Lexus when it comes to reliability.
