w/e im not gona argue cuz i can see its not gona change ur mind, plus u do have a point about ur AGP, so in that case i would simply wait till u get a new pc, cuz upgrading from a 3400 to a bit better in future to simply get pci-e is useless in my opinion.
 
Dont get socket 754. They arent even really being made any more. No future. 939 is the way to go

I realize that Skt. 754 is no longer being produced, I'm not some total n00b. I have stated my position on this issue in this thread. In a nutshell, I believe it is more economical for me to get a Skt. 754 CPU than 939.
 
I got a socket 754. Its fin, as long as your not planning a power house.

Your going to miss PCI-E though... I know I do...
 
If I want a new video card, I have to upgrade EVERYTHING. AGP is dead after this generation (which has come to an end).
