I tried the single line across the heatpipes, but I found it didn't spread properly.

I followed the AS5 guide's directions and my temps are around 25° idle and around 40° at load, I haven't taken my Xigmatek off yet to see how it spread because I just unclipped the motherboard push pins when I transfered my cpu/HSF to my Gigabyte motherboard...

That would be for a standard flat base, the HDT-963's base is not standard.

also, your method looks perfect for core2quads, not so much for core2duos...

i am thinking of getting some arctic silver 5 and put some on my CPU, and chisets, how much do i put, i know to put a little. But how much is the right amount?
and maybe the graphics card in like a month when i wouldnt be scared of actually doing something to it.
