The P5B is no longer in the board I will get

Why? Because it has no firewire port.

Now, I looked at this board and seems rather happy to get it. It preety much has what I want on it.

Based on the Intel P35 chipset. Do you think it will be in the $100-200 range?

Or maybe the Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R. This board is almost the same as the Foxconn but has two DDRIII slots.

just buy a pci-e 1x card with firewire ports....and i think most new motherboards that support DDRIII and 1333Mhz FSB will be over 200 IMO but i could be wrong

That's what I'm thinking. The Foxconn mobo though should be less expensive, because it's DDRII only.
