The Matrix:Reloaded..Did you like it?

I just watched it, and as much as I hate to admit it I think it pretty much sucked. I knew it would be hard for it to live up to the original Matrix movie, but what in the hell were they thinking..

It seems to me that the story took a back seat to sfx and over long redundant action scenes, with a few cheezy sexual scenes thrown in for good measure. They could have done so much better IMO .

Well, this is not an attack, but I feel anyone who says that story was not good just didnt understand the concept of the movie or the vocabulary of the characters.

I think it was masterfully done and there is not much I would change about the move. Except the release date of the last one.

I didn't like the fact that you could tell, without a doubt, that some of the scenes were CG. That killed the movie for me. I think that they could have done a better job... and WTF was up with all the superman BS?

Ecniv, its not that I think that the story of The Matrix is not good. Quite the contrary, I've been a huge fan since the first movie and I assure you that I understand the concept of the movie .

I just meant that there seems to be to much focus on the fight scenes (which weren't all that good IMO) and not enough into bringing the story deeper into another level.

65% of those who went to see Matrix Reloaded went to for action that they saw in the first one and better. Others went to see either to see what happened next in the movie or just because they were invited and wanted to see what the hype was all about.


What I must point out is that the movie's name is Matrix Reloaded not matrix 2. Here the emphasis is mainly on the story line rather than graphics although a good amount was done.

Yeah nastrodamus, there is some interesting discussion on that forum. Thanks for the link. My main reason for this topic was just to see how the other people here felt about this movie, not to argue with anyone about it .

Simply put, it just wasn't what I had hoped for. Maybe that will change with the last one.
