The Best PC for multimedia, Music production and gaming. A fast computer

HI every1. I need a really good comp. For music production and gaming. But in general a really fast comp. I have looked @ the dell xps generation 5. It seems cool. But have heard some negative coments. I am not 2 keen on the apple, as my some of mu software is not compatible with it. Please can some1 give me some advise on a good pc.

You should build your own. It is not as hard as it may sound. You will probably be better off posting in the Overclocking and PC building section.
