The Best External Hard Drives

Hello. What is the best external hard drive out there. I'm talking about somthing between $50 and $100. Also I want some nice strorage.

I see some nice ones online, but the scary thing is, some of the reviews state that the hard drives dies, or the computer stops recognizing them, etc. So please help me find a reliable EXTERNAL hard drive.

My friend's external drive stopped working, I can't remember who makes it though. My Western Digital 160GB still works, but has a USB connection issue on the HD itself and sometimes disconnects from the computer. I'd say anything from Maxtor, Seagate, or Western Digital should be fine.
