That 17" was working. Why did he/she throw it out?

On our way home from the hospital, I noticed that a screenwas there alone in the rain. We turned around to check it. Turns out is is an Optiquest from Viewsonic and model is V775.

I cleared the most out of water with kleenexes and let it sit there for the night to dry. This morning, I power it on. Seems that it works from eye. I plug it in the video port, power up my Dell and bam! It's displaying.

So, the question remains: Why throwing out a nice 17" screen?

Good one, yes lots of people are not that worried about making a few bucks on the side, when they have the chance to upgrade their monitor. i say if you can't sell it, then give it to your local goodwill

Well, it usually comes when the night before garbage day is occuring. You will find stuff in there. It's like a garage sale...just free and ful of crap.
And that monitor was just there, all alone...nothing else around it.

Now now, I wouldn't think someone would be that crazy to actually throw out a working LCD. It's CRT.
