testing video card

I was to test out my video card i got in my laptop(8600M) cause i think it might be low quailty. Is there any software that will let me test out to see how well my video card is performing?

try out a program called 3dmark, there are multiple versions (3dmark05, 3dmark06). after it runs it will give you a benchmark score and you can see where you compare to other people with that.
