you'd use linux for DNS / DHCP server for spud to learn?

I find that the generally greater verbosity that Linux either provides by default, or can be increased by the user, is better for education as the extra detail shows you how it works at a deeper level. I'm not saying it's the best solution for actual use, but it's a great educational tool.

Besides, I'd just trust it to work out of the box more on Linux :p
