Alright. So, I've decided to upgrade my system, but go a different non-PCI-Express route. Before you jump on me, I'll have a brand new system in roughly 12 months, so an AGP MoBo and Graphics Card should be able to hold me over.

Question 1) An AGP card (probably 6600GT) should be able to run most games in the next year decently (1024x768, Medium Details), right?

Question 2) Will this Foxconn MoBo ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813186050 ) fit this a844n Pavillion ( http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?lc=en&cc=us&docname=c00298343 )? Do you think it's a good buy (I'm NOT looking for OCing capabilities)?

Question 3) Is there a noticeable difference between the 6600GT AGP and the 6600GT PCI-Express card? Has the PCI-Express slot not been fully utilized yet?

Question 4) Which AGP 6600GT from Newegg ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...,696:9639,699:16161&bop=and&srchInDesc=6600GT ) would you recommend and why?

I know this is alot of questions, but it'd be great if some of you computer geniuses could help out lil ol' me by answering them! Thanks.

If any one person could answer one of the four, or a combination, I'd be grateful. In desperate need as I'm looking to upgrade very soon. Within a week or two.

Question 1: Yes
Question 2: Don't know. As far as i know, HP uses a microatx case, so it should fit.
Question 3: No, not noticeable.
Question 4: evga

Thanks damasta55r.

Now I just need some feedback on a good M-AYX MoBo wi/AGP 8x/4x and support for Intel P4 Prescotts. If anyone has a good suggestion, let me know.

One more thing: what's the expected price drop on the Geforce 6 series as soon as the new 7 series hits shelves?

Does anyone have comments on the following MoBo brands?

- Foxconn
- PC CHIPS
- ABIT
- ASUS
- MSI

Please be specific with why they're good/why they suck!

Thanks.
