What would be the fastest HDD for my system to run. I already have a 1TB that I'm using for storage but my 250 that I had used for my system crapped out. I'm looking for about 500GB but I want it to be fast. The best one I have seen is the WD Cavier Black http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=n82e16822136320 if anyone knows of a faster better one, help me out.

thats the same one that im going to be fighting to get 4 of those for a RAID 5 array

have you looked on amazon.com yet?
as of yesterday they had some in stock
so i would check there
or if you dont trust amazon for what ever reason you could always bump up the storage of the 'quick access' drive
like 750 GB or so
any of them that say Cavair black on them will have a 32 MB cache on them
and with the dual processors the performance is great for the size
but i would definitely check amazon.com first
