swapping screen assembiles on laptops?

can i swap the screen assembly on a laptop for a higher res panel ?
for example alot of razer blades come with the specs i want but htey all have that stupd 1080p 240gazillion hz screen that i hate

i want it for office work and other non gaming stuff so i need the 4k screen
do i need any other parts if i want to swap the panel?

they are cheap because nobody wants the 1080p screen anymore so even if i buy a replacement panel it would make sense if its possible to swap( i have tools and experience in doing this ) not my first time just never swapped a different panel before

I would tend think that your video chip would have to be compatible for a 4k screen.

they usually are since they support multiple resolutions
jsut not sure if there are extra parts need to be swapped or not

If you have the ID numbers on the backside of the screen you could attempt to cross reference those to a 4k screen from Laptop Screen

what i mean isfor example razer blade 15" laptop that comes with rtx 3080 and all the gaming specs but has that stupid 1080p 240hz screen.
and nobody wants those.
if i buy a complete screen panel and replace it do i need to replace anything else?
is there more components to the screen besides the cable that connects it to motherboard?
in the past some laptops had the module that powers up the backlight which was different for each resolution.
but that was way back i havent done screen swap i a while
