Hey, Guys.

Well, due to NewEgg no longer selling the Zune I wanted (the Brown 30 gig for 100 bucks) and me already getting SimCity Societies, I need to redo my Christmas list.

I am still getting the camera I wanted, the Kodak EasyShare Z1275 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16830170122)

I am upgrading the 2 GB SD card I needed for the camera to 4 GB SDHC (which is compatible with it) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134474)

Now, that leaves me with about $150 to spend. I was thinking about getting a surround sound system for my computer.

I really like the Creative Inspire P7800 system. It is the only 7.1 system Newegg offers. It's only 90 watts, but its 7.1 and, hell, my current 15 watt speakers satisfy me! (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836116153) 80 bucks, but I really like that system. Any thoughts on it?

I am also leaning towards the Logitech Z-5300e system. It is only 5.1, but is 280 watts and the reviews state it has better sound quality. Any thoughts on that system? Probably will be 150 after shipping, so that doesn't leave much room for error, but I really like this system a lot more than the P7800.

Do you have a sound card?

I have the 5300e's older brother, the 5500s. They're awesome. If you want raw power and bass, definitely get the Logitechs.

Yeah, I have a card that can handle 5.1... well, I think I just answered my own question! Lol, but, yeah, the 5300e's look amazing, and I think I might just pick that system up

So be it.

I will get the 5300e system, along with the camera and 4GB SDHC card. I am going to have some fun this Christmas.. :)

My current sound system if you are interested:
15w for front left and right speakers, 8w center speaker (can be used as either sub or just plain speaker), and 8w rear left and right speakers. The 15w is GE, the rest eMachines standard..

i have a sony reciver hooked up to my PC :D and damn do those speakers kick, they must be at least 100 watts a piece and my mom gave them to me because they looked ugly!!! too bad the center speaker i got sounds like it got blown :( i no longer use it.

anyways, you should get the logictechs, those things are sick.

I just got a little 3.5mm Splitter for my 2 sets of 2 speakers and there quite nice.

I like the fact that the two that where from my old Gateway 2000 are a nice 9 watts each. They also got some good bass for some really old speakers.

I like the 5300s but like freestyler said the 5500s are newer and have a significant power increase over the 5300s.

My little set up should last me a while.
What can I say I'm cheap. :)
