Suggestions on new comp pls read

Was thinking of building/paying soemoen to build a nice new computer for me. My range im willing to spend is between 1400-1500. Anyways i wana play half life 2 with ease and just about every other computer game in the future with ease.

I hear PCI express is the best but i have NO CLUE what the heck it is wether its a card or a whole new motherboard..


Anyway I was looking through the stuff.

Intel p4 3.2 800 fsb 1mb cache processor

Intel 865 Perlk mother

Pci express card (video card, or is replacing my mother board? im confused, also if you could post a good pci express card that wont overclock)

2x 512 ddr ram

xp

160 gb sata


how does that look?

ALSO i was looking through dell and the dimension xps gen 3 is very pricey it looks awesome. My question is, is it really worth how much it costs?

pci express is just like AGP but has a faster bandwidth but at the time is actually performs slower in benchmarks than does agp 8x

Dell sucks go with falcon northwest if you are going to spend that much money.

falcon charges too much I dont liek the cases ether.

Intel mobos are very limited and very cheaply made.

i think falcons cases are at least better than dell's... voodoo and alienware are good, but might be beyond your price range tho....

i like ABS and iBuypower too. not cheap, not expensive considering the parts they put in there.
