Hello,

I work at a public access station that is in the midst of streaming the programming over the internet.

A friend of the station has vowed to help out tremendously by having us pick out the specs of a needed computer and then purchasing it himself. So i'm looking for advice on the psuedo-best computer for live video internet streaming.

Any suggestions??
thanks!
dan

I would use Windows Media Encoder "WMV VCM 9"
Make sure that your origin files are wmv's so that it lessens the load of real time encoding. You can have it stream over the internet. I suggest an intel with HT technology. And at least 256mb ram. Also make sure it has a dedicated video card. You don't want an intregrated video since it eats some of your ram.
