Strange Computer Shutdown

So heres the scoop,

I was called in to work on a computer that was shutting when they would print, copy, receive fax, and send faxes. I uninstalled the printer and reinstalled it and updated the drivers. That didn't work.

I'm really unsure of what to do. Maybe a USB issue or a hardware issue. Not to sure.

The fax combo is from company called Brother.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just an idea, but maybe the printer is faulty and its sending a whack message to the computer when it gets commands? This used to happen to my neighbor when he used to try and print/scan from his HP All-In-One. I tried different USB wires to no avail, at which point a call to HP Support got him a brand-new one.
