hi, sorry its been so long to reply but i'm having to use someone else's pc now, anyway i have tried that but still the same,i've tried all the options on the f8 screen, all come back to a blank screen,i have been able to get to the desktop by pressing ctrl, alt delete then open program then right click c drive and then the desktop appears as normal and everything works normally, once this opens i do get an error message about "idlist" if that helps,
thanks
nigel.
