My machine won't shut down from the start/shut down/restart buttons.
It has Windows XP sp2 and the problem started after I installed Iolo system mechanic 7.It wasn't immediate but it took about a week for the problems to start.
When the trouble first began the Iolo progam wouldn't initialize.I reinstalled the program and it worked fine for a couple of days then the computer wouldn't shut down from the start menu,and that's how it is now.
I have a question in to Iolo but it's a slow process and I can't stand to have something that doesn't work right.
I'm pretty sure I have all other AV software and firewall systems removed or shut down so I dont' think this is the trouble.
Any ideas will be appreciated.
