SP2 install problems

Im haveing problems installing Microsoft Service Pack 2. I have the entire requirments and everything, but when i try and install the Service Pack I receive an error. The error is "c:\windows\system32\cdm.exe" or "cmd/exe" is being used by another program, please quit all other programs then press retry. I've searched the computer and found the program above, but i cant open or close it. Is there anything i can do to get this program to be closed...or whatever program is using it...? HELP

re boot and try again. it should work. try "ctrl + alt + del" and go to processes. look for cmd in the list. i dont see why this is open anyway but its worth a try. make sure you close every other program and window before installing aswell

do ctrl-alt-delete

click on "processes" tab, and then look for cmd.exe

select it, and click "end process"

install sp2

I cant do ctrl alt del, its never worked on my comp....EVER. And im not a complete idiot. I have tried to reboot. Nothing....

are you on a laptop? if so, click the left ctrl-alt and then delete or try alt control delete
