no there is a cord or does it just plug into the pci slot

it just goes into the pci slot, if you have front panel audio and you still want that then you will have to connect the cables which are inside the case.

but if you dont have front panel audio or dont use then then just put it in a pci slot and install the drivers for it then it will work
