Software for blu ray player

I am thinking of getting a blu ray drive for a pc, and I hear you need to buy the software to drive them separately. I was planning to buy PowerDVD10, which I thought was the only option.

Should I get powerDVD10, or are there any other good options? And is it true there really aren't any good blu ray drivers for linux out there, unless you are good at hacking?

my blue ray player came with power dvd. power dvd and corel win dvd plays them

I have WinDVD 2010 Pro. The standard edition does not have Blu-ray support.

I'm in the same boat... got a BD player, but those BD suites for playback are quite pricey. anyone know if a trusted free player supporting it?

I have PowerDVD 10 Ultra.
Only thing that annoys me is having to download the whole program again to get updates for new movies (slow download for me).

I've read rumors that powerDVD 10 has some compatibility problems with windows 7 and 64 bit operating systems? I wonder if these rumors are true and if so, when will they be worked out. After all this is a expensive piece of software.
