Heh, I'd only consider that if i didn't mind the risk of burning out my CPU or motherboard. With a Skt423 board you also need to consider what happens if you damage your RAM, you won't be able to find RDRAM easily if something happens.

Adapters aren't always a great idea and I'd probably just stick with what you've got until you can afford to upgrade the lot. Anything you buy now to enhance your current setup won't be able to be used in a new system.

Save a few pennies and you won't regret it :)
