So, I just got back from talking to a recruiter.

I'm joining the Canadian communication reserve forces as a signal operator. This is assuming I pass the physical and aptitude tests, which should be no problem. Even though communications section is not part of the army, I still have to do the exact same training as them, and work side by side with them. Among normal soldier dutys, I would be operating radios and some working with computers as well. I leave in june to start the first 8 weeks of my training.

Bravo man! I could never join. I just don't have what it takes.

I take it no DJ-mod while your in basic?

Defiantly no DJ gear :( And wouldn't be on here much at all, I'm guessing.

"Basic" (We call it different things) is 4+4 weeks of training.

Well we will miss you when you are gone.

Yeah, 8 weeks is pretty much Basic here. It's where you learn all the standard "your in the military" training.

Congrats, hope you have a good time.

Do they have diffent rules in Canada about being gay in the military?
