Smelly Graphics Card

Hi, I just got my graphics card in the post and it has a burning smell, this might a stupid noobie question but is this normal? I don't the facilities to test it at the moment.

I don't think that's healthy for a card to have a burnt smell.. :S

That was kinda what I thought, i got it off ebay and the guy I bought it from says it works.

Could overclocking cause it?

possibly not sure... I would contact the person who told you... but it could possibly have been in a house fire? (that would be a worst case senario, but it's possible) But I would contact the guy who you bought it from about it. As for the overclocking I'm not sure, I've never overclocked something but i think it's possible.

I'm not totally sure but it would seem to have some burning or extreme heat damage...
