Small Lan ?

What exactly do you need to do this? I dont have a router just a dsl modem. Looking to have 2 maybe 3 computers and being able to play online in the same server. Ive had trouble with this before when one person would try to join the same server it would kick the person out. Any help?

a simple 4 port switch/hub/router with switch/hub you need straighthrough cable, with a router you need crossover cable.
