I'm a subscriber to Comcast's regular high speed cable internet. Recently I've been seeing that everytime I download multiple files or files with high download speeds, the internet explorer either takes too long to load or displays the "Cannot Display" page. It's not until I finish download can I browse the web quickly again. Is this normal?

Well, it depends on how fast your internet connection is and how fast/much you are downloading. Basically what is happening is that the downloads are taking away your bandwidth leaving very little left for just browsing.

This could be caused by a few problems. I would call Comcast to see what your speed SHOULD be, and figure out why it isn't that speed.

Actually I think I've had the same problem in the past. I think once you have so many files downloading there can only be so many connections with the net. I would use firefox and I'm sure there's somthing in the about:config that will tell ya.
