Sleeping

sleeping 12 hours is unheard of. I usually am on this computer till about 1AM and wake up at 7AM. Every night, there is no difference.

The important part of sleep is the REM-phase, the phase during which you dream. This phase is necessary for your brain to sort information and basically "reboot" for the next day. An inadequate amount of REM sleep is usually to blame for a lack of energy.

REM sleep comes in cycles, most people experience 10 phases or so of it a night (I believe, from memory).

7 hours of sleep is good for me.
If I am up late for a few nights in a row, then it normally catches up with me

well ok new variable in the equation now, so lets see you sleep for 4 hours a day for 1 week and then then next week you sleep for 9 hours of sleep but you feel the same feeling as for sleeping for 4 hours a night, is it your body trying to "catch" up?

I'm 17 and I find I do best with 10 hours of sleep. Although I do have a bad habit of staying up late and then sleeping late. This leads to me going to bed at 5am and getting up at 3am. lol
