Should I upgrade my RAM?

I have 512mb of PC3200 RAM and a 6600LE.

My PC can play Doom 3 on high settings fine except when I open doors, then it lags for about a second.

To me this appears to be a loading problem, do I have enough RAM?

If not there is a sale at PC World where I can get a stick of PC3200 512mb Ram for just £25. Should I upgrade?

Or do you think it's my graphics card?

It could be your graphics card but just to make sure close all your programs that you dont need running and then boot up doom and if it still lags a lil its probably your graphics card.

wait scratch that.... the minimum requirements for Doom 3 are 384MB RAM and 64MB DirectX 9.0b 3D-compatible ATi Radeon or nVidia GeForce video card... so ya what I think you should do is just close all the programs you dont need running and everything should be ok...

Ram does do that, gaming load problems are the reason I upgraded my ram, I would say yes you should.

always upgrade you RAM. easiest upgrade you can do and helps playing games.
also according to recent conversions 25 GBP is about 43 USD. go to newegg.com then. i found many sticks of PC3200 512MB RAM for about 30 USD.
