WHAT IS THE PROPER PAGE FILE SIZE IN MANUAL SETTING.
MY COMP IS XP, 512 MEM, PENTIUM PRO/PENTIUM 2,AND G-FROCE
GRAPHICS, 60 G HARD DRIVE(sorry, i wasn't yelling).
9.8 gb in use,..46.0 gb free. i'm running all graphics programs.
my drive crashed a couple weeks ago and i had to reinstall from the bottom up. the comp said my page file was wrong.i now have it set at 385 low and 700 high.what do you think? thanks scott

Your best bet is to set the low and high values to the same (make a permanent swap file). Since you have a good amount of RAM, you probably don't need a large swap file - maybe 100 to 300 MB. I have heard of people with 512mb RAM who don't even have a swap file! It is only necessary if you run out of RAM. Hope this helps!:)

Ya, daveppeters idea should work just fine. I have never heard anything about invalid swap file amount or whatever though :(
