Setting a sub on the side

Okay, I have this Crap Dell 5.1 setup. I just picked up the Sub and stuck it on my desk, instead of under neith. Now my question, is there anything that can hurt it on its side?

I dont imagion anything would, just because its a bolted in woofer, in a ported box. Maybe the dial or something, but I highly doubt it.

THe only reason I ask this, is because I think it sounds different then when it was on the floor. But thats probably just placement and im not used to it yet.

No, nothing will hurt it. I use my sub as a foot rest before when I use to have my z-640's. I think it sounds better on the floor.

Haha, Ive had the computer and speakers for just under a year now. Its always been on the floor, and always been my footrest

I think it sounds better actually above the person, rahter then below, but the cords dont let me get it up that high.
