Server 2003 sp2 dc

i think that i have set up a server correctly.
i am trying to use it with roaming profiles for an xp pro sp3 computer that i just rebuilt.
if i allready set up the domain controller do i just join the domain and use the profile i built on the server or do i have to configure it more
