This may interest some artists out there. Its a free sculpter program; like the likes of Z-Brush and Mudbox, but free.

Its up to Beta 3 and has been made by one guy alone, since December of 2009. Thats only 3 months of work

I've had a go of it, and its actually really fun to play around in.

Would love to see what you guys can come up with:

Hopefully, you know what I'm talking about :p

Basically, sculpters are used to add extra detail to meshes that otherwise would be very time consuming to model otherwise

Hemp, if she may like 3D programs and hasn't ever used one for modeling, and wants one that is free, and is growing extensively since its Open Source, let her give Blender a try if she hasn't already

Its getting very powerful indeed

She paints everyday and is very artistic, but rarely uses computers. So I thought maybe she may like something like that. This weekend I'll have her give it a try and she if she likes doing things like that on a computer opposed to real life. I will get both programs for the time being.

I will keep you posted on what she thinks about art on a computer haha

Since she paints she might like a the program while working on a touch screen computer. (just a thought)

I'm going to try it out.
EDIT:
You don't have to install it?! Woot!

It has some limitations I've found already,
.e you can't, or I don't think you can make it fix to a specific angle, like Up, so if you sculpt from what you think is a top angle; you get the movement going off centre.

What you think of it?
